Special Effect

Special Effect

Special Effect is a charity that helps with the creation custom game controllers that allow people with special needs to enjoy computer and video games.
You can read more about Special Effect here.

Gameblast

Gameblast is a marathon 24 hour streamed gaming event organised by Special Effect to raise money for charity.
Gameblast occurs in the last weekend of February every year. Generally participants set themselves some gaming related challenge or task to complete within a 24 hour period over the weekend.
However fundraising is not limited to games and any form of fundraising is fine.

Find out more about GameBlast here.

GameBlast21

For GameBlast21, I will be undertaking the Fighting Fantasy Challenge, which will be to read through all 10 of the Fighting Fantasy Classics on Steam.

GameBlast20

'The Indiana Jones Charity Globe Trot.' is my game for GameBlast20. Will our heroes be able to follow in the footsteps of the world's most famous archaeologist?

GameBlast19

For Gameblast19 I will be running 'The Mirkwood Charity Walk' - a followup to 'The Middle-earth Charity Walk' whereupon our intrepid heroes will have to journey from Hobbition all the way to The Lonely Mountain and face what lies therein.

GameBlast18

Gameblast18 was 'The Middle-earth Charity walk', an adventure that take sour heroes from peaceful Hobbiton to Mordor in a quest to destroy 'The Other Ring'.

Gameblast18 raised over £200,000 for Special Effect.

GameBlast17

Gameblast17 was the 2nd Gameblast I participated in: It was 1st time doing a tabletop game instead of a video-game.
For Gameblast17 I ran 'Dungeon Daze'; 24 hours - 24 dungeons. Can 24 dungeon levels be done in 24 hours? The answer is no!
