5th March 2020

It's a Thursday evening and time for WFRP, session 8, the last session was 5 months ago. Unfortunately, due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus it looks like it will be the last session for some time. Anyway; on with the game.

'The Enemy Within' campaign that I have been running for the last few years continues.

The following morning the party met with the High Priestess. They all discussed what the party had discovered and how to proceed next.

​The party asked Inga to write a letter of introduction to a high ranking member of the Emperor's court on their behalf.

Once again, whilst returning to their town house, the party became aware of an event occurring! This time from the vicinity of the docks.

They went to investigate and found a gathering crowd of city folk watching the arrival of a small fleet of boars flying Imperial flags.
The ships docked and The Emperor's nephew disembarked - along with his retinue and bodyguard.

The Royal Carriage arrives, then what looks like a hastily prepared royal reception is laid out. It occurs to the party that this royal visit was unexpected.

The party returned home to await a response to the letter.

26th September 2019

Thursday night and time for the next session of WFRP.

The 'Enemy Within' campaign continues.

Our party are still in Altdorf, investigating the conspiracy that murdered the Grand Theonogist.

The party have just learned that four individuals have been captured and after some 'interrogation' have confessed to the murder.

Unsure what this means for their investigation, they suspect that these are four innocent scapegoats who have been forced into confessing. The party decide to look into matters. It turns out that the 'Knights of the Fiery Heart' have captured the four suspects. The party then managed to track down where they are being held.

As the party are headed to the cells, they notice that there are a lot of people on the streets of Altdorf. Rumour has spread that the 4 suspects are all 'Ulricans' and anger is rising amongst 'Sigmarites'. The tension is palpable.

Meanwhile, the party speak with the captain responsible for the four prisoners. He informs them that the four were captured after they had received an anonymous tip. The party convince the captain to be allowed to question the prisoners.

The first prisoner proudly admits that he was one of the ringleaders and was responsible for the explosion. He names 'Brother Karl' as the chief organiser of the conspiracy.

The party then speaks to a second prisoner who claims he is innocent and had nothing to do with anything. The party are quite convinced of his innocence. They question him further but he is evasive and cannot answer many of their questions - to the frustration of the party.

19th September 2019

It's a Thursday and this now means it time for WFRP, our playing day has changed.

'The Enemy Within​' campaign continues.

Our brave adventurers are still in Altdorf and investigating the death of the Grand Theonogist.
During the last session, the party realised most of their leads have met with suspicious and nasty ends. 
They only have 1 living lead left: An agitator called 'Mayer Gauss'. The party have discovered that he as an associate of the deceased 'Batrek Steelfist'.
They also know that Mayer tends to appear at the speaker's corner close to the university district every week or so. 

Over the next few days they visit speaker's corner frequently without success. They also investigate all the local pubs and drinking establishments. Mayer is recognised, but no one has firm details about him.
Finally, party investigate some colleges to see if Mayer was a former student, but he was not an alumni at any of the colleges they visited.

Then on one morning, the party are leaving their townhouse and their is a buzz on the streets. After a bit of chatting, the party discover that a rumour is circulating the city: The assassins have been caught!

It's the end of the week, this means it's time for WFRP.

'The Enemy Within' campaign continues.

Our brave heroes press on with their investigation into the assassination of the Grand Theonogist in Altdorf.
Their activities reveal signs of a possible conspiracy behind the attack.
The party follows various leads to possible suspects, but in both cases, the suspects have met untimely, sudden deaths. Leaving the party with little information.

It appears that someone is tying up loose ends faster than the party can find them...
The party continue their investigating...

It's a Friday and this means it's time for the now intermittent WFRP game.

'The Enemy Within' campaign continues.

Our intrepid adventurers are still in Altdorf investigating what is now considered to be the assassination of the Grand Theonogist.
A large number of barrels of gunpowder were used to cause the explosion that killed him. The party are investigating where these barrels may have come from and have acquired some leads to follow.

28th June 2019

The weekend beckons and Friday is upon us. Friday means that the erratic WFRP The Enemy Within continues.

Our intrepid adventurers have arrived at Aldorf, the imperial capital. Their entry into the city was greeted with an explosion at the Temple of Sigmar in the last session!

Our adventurers are recruited into an investigation in a conspiracy at the highest levels in the city, intertwined with an investigation into the explosion.

The party learns that the Grand Theonogist has been killed in the explosion. Their initial searching reveals that a large number of barrels of gunpowder were hidden in one of the basements in the temple.

18h April 2019.


It's a Thursday and it's time for a WFRP session, which is unusual as we don't play on a Thursday - always a Friday. But since the 19th is 'Good Friday' we make an exception on this occasion.

The party's investigations into the machinations occurring continue along with the looming threat of civil war.
Their journey to Altdorf continues and they encounter a mutants and beastmen attacking both Sigmarite and Ulrican priests. The party intercedes and help out.

The journey continues and they encounter the spot where - 2 game years and 4 real years ago they discovered an overturned coach that marked the start of their adventures.

A little later, the party entered Altdorf. And soon after that, they hear an explosion and see smoke rising from the direction of the Cathedral of Sigmar.

8th February.

The Enemy Within continues.

The PC arrived at Middenheim, even though they are wanted for murder - a year or more has passed and they feel safe. A look for their contact.
At Middenheim they receive instructions telling them to go to Altdorf. They don't particularly like following orders, but a combination of blackmail and cash keeps them compliant! Stick and carrot!

Anyway, now they are to travel to Altdorf, where they are also wanted for murder! Well they were, but the real murderer was captured long ago. The PCs don't know this and have done their best to avoid the city as much as they can ever since.
The PCs began their 12 day journey south. They encounter other travellers and news of chaos attacks closeby and warring principalities in the Empire.

The session ends with the PCs 4 days from Altdorf.

Thursday 10th January was the first RPG session I've run this year.

This long running campaign is the classic 'Enemy Within' campaign from WFRP 1e. Although I'm using WFRP 2e rules.

The players (after 4 years) have reached the final part of the campaign. I am using 'Empire at War' as the final part of the campaign instead of 'Empire in Chaos'.

There's too much gone on during the campaign to even begin writing about here. But currently the party are in Bergsburg at the end of a futile investigation.
After some not so subtle prodding from me, they have decided to go on to Middenheim. A place they had to flee a while ago after being framed for murder.

The next session is in 3 weeks.
